Bullshit. I know of not a single repub who didn't join in criticizing Omar
for her "All about the Benjamins" remark. Why? Because it was an anti-semitic trope. She claimed she was just lampooning the influence of money. She claimed she didn't mean it to be anti-semitic. But none of that matters - the fact is, she used an anti-semitic stereoptype, either because she's tone deaf, or because she's being less than honest about her real intentions. All repubs agree with that.
It's not about simply being critical. Criticize Kamala all you want, but if you call her a raging bitch, yeah, you'll be accused of being misogynistic. Trump can criticize the squad 24/7 if he wants. But when you tell 4 American citizens, 3 of whom were born here, to go back where you came from, you are leveling a racist trope traditionally used against non-white people. Just like Omar's greed remark is traditionally used against Jews.
You can argue that Omar should have received a clearer rebuke than she got, I can buy that. She would have if the repubs were in control. I'm not even sure this House battle benefits the dems more than it does Trump - he has so far excelled in the cultural divide. But this victim complex is bullshit. The problem here is the racist trope the president used, not the general notion of criticism.
You guys need to look in the mirror - the orange one is the Washington presence with such thin skin he can't handle any kind of criticism at all.
